Wedding Fashion 2022: the Main Trends

The pandemic has dramatically affected the form of wedding fashion. Now it is all about virtualization, small parties with loved ones, convenient fashion, and versatility. As a result, we have distinguished 7 main wedding trends for the new season.

Minimalism

Minimalism, which was popular before the pandemic, has only taken hold. The modern bride easily gives up on traditions and is looking for a comfortable outfit that will demonstrate her vision of style and in which she can dance and have fun all night. Cut with clean sculptural lines, the gorgeous texture of the fabric, lack of splendid decor, deep neckline, and drapery — in those dresses everything is always neat, practical, and appropriate for years.Feathers

Feathers were popular in past seasons, and a tendency of its usage has confidently migrated to 2022. Those who have been forced to postpone grandiose wedding ceremonies are finally able to recoup it. And dresses lavishly decorated with feathers can be a perfect choice for a fabulous celebration.Short Gowns and Wedding Suits

For brides who do not see themselves in classic wedding dresses, designers offer many variations of short dresses or suits with an oversized blazer. Stylish, bold, and unusual.Flowers

A luxurious dress with a floral motif has become an odds-on favorite of this season. Many gowns with embroidery, three-dimensional floral applications, and prints were presented in WONÁ Concept and Eva Lendel 2022 collections. Those dresses are about femininity, sophistication, and elegance.Emphasis on the Sleeves

Long or short, made of translucent or smooth fabric, with appliques or embroidery, ruffles or asymmetrical hemlines — sleeves can make a wedding look elegant and at the same time unconventional. Special attention should be paid to the dresses with lush sleeves from the Regency era and gowns in which the texture of the sleeves differs from the main material of the dress.A Deep Neckline

A seductive V-neckline is another hot trend that can be found in almost all collections by WONÁ Concept and Eva Lendel. A choice to bare neck, collarbones, and effectively emphasize breasts definitely characterize the bride as a confident one.A High Cut

A high cut makes the bridal look seductive and emphasizes long legs. A wedding gown with a cut is an alternative for brides who do not want to look too eccentric or underline their figure.

My bridal experience at WONA bridal was amazing. My consultant, Malak, was extremely knowledgeable, warm, and courteous. The gowns were in great condition, the lighting was perfect, and my entourage and I had total privacy during thr entire appointment. I didn't officially say yes to the dress. However, I know I found my dream dress and am looking forward to moving forward with the process with the WONA team!

I had a wonderful first bridal appt at WONA with Sylvia. My guests and I received a very individualized experience and saw many beautiful gowns. Sylvia was incredibly patient and accommodating to my budget. She was able to listen to my opinion and select several gowns for me to try on that would fit my vision and budget. This was my very first bridal appt, and I am happy it was such a a pleasant experience. The shop is gorgeous and the staff is incredibly attentive. Highly recommend any NYC bride to go see Sylvia at WONA.

Yesterday I found the dress of my dreams at Wona bridal. My first impression was through the seamless and easy booking process followed up with friendly responses and prompt emails for any questions I had regarding the big day. Yesterday upon my arrival I was greeted with a smile by one of the sales associates as my associate wasn’t quite ready yet. We were welcomed to walk around and look through some of the racks until it was my turn. I was greeted by Kayla who appeared to be just as excited to find my wedding dress as I was. I began showing her some pictures of inspiration but really left most of my faith in her hands to point me in the right direction. Before I knew it the third dress I tried on would have ended up being my wedding dress. Kayla was knowledgeable, patient and guided me through the appointment with strategic strategy that left me 100% confident that I had found the dress of my dreams. Even down to the sizing and customization Kayla and the rest of the Wona team took their time and really made my vision feel heard. Leaving yesterday I am 100% confident that I have the dress of my dreams and thanks to the Wona staff I cannot wait to go back and continue the process before my big day!! Thank you Kayla!!!!!

Malik was absolutely fabulous during my wedding dress shopping experience. After explaining my vision she quickly brought out dresses that were stunning and fit my vision. She Made me feel amazing in each one and explained all the details of what alterations were possible (pretty much any alterations you want!) since I had very specific requests! While I ultimately did not choose a dress from this location, I would highly recommend shopping here. It was amazing learning more about the dresses, material, alterations, and overall what I really wanted for myself on my wedding day. I’m grateful for the kindness and patience Malik showed me during my visit to WONÁ.

I had a great experience at Wona! I got to try on gorgeous dresses & Bridget was so motivational and kind. I really would have loved to have bought a dress here, but my wedding got moved up several months & a rush order fee was not in my budget. I’m so grateful that I was able to try in my dream dress (look in the photos for a gold glitter extravaganza) & that the women who work here were attentive and so helpful. My fiancé enjoyed seeing me in a couple dresses (he wanted to be part of the process).
