Do i need to book an appointment?
Yes, our showroom works by appointment only. Please book your appointment on our website. There will be a few questions for you to answer while booking, as well as a calendar to view all of our upcoming availability
How can i make an appointment?
You can book an appointment by calling us, writing to the email, or using our website.
Do you charge any fee for appointments?
There are no fees to book the weekday appointment, however we do take card information while booking in case of a no-show or cancellation within 24 hours of your appointment.
To schedule a weekend appointment with WONA NYC, we will need to secure your booking with a credit card. There is a $100.00 fee for a weekend appointment. This fee is non-refundable, however, we will apply $200 to your purchase! There is a $100 cancellation fee.
How should i prepare for my appointment?
If you would like to look through the gowns shown on our website before your appointment and prepare a list of dresses you are interested in trying, you are more than welcome to do so! Otherwise, your consultant will pull gowns for you based on what you are looking for. Besides that, just bring any undergarment you would like to wear while trying on gowns, and you will be all set to start your search!
Can i take photos during my appointment?
Of course! It can be very helpful for brides to look through photos of them in each dress, so you are more than welcome to do so!
Can i buy a dress from stock or do i need to order the dress?
Here at WONA, all of our bridal gowns are made to order. We do however, have a small selection of gowns that can be purchased off-the-rack and can be viewed on our website under the “Sample Sale” section.
Do you offer alterations?
You are more than welcome to take advantage of our recommended seamstress. Because this is solely a recommendation to a 3rd party seamstress, all fees and services are to be discussed and agreed upon with said 3rd party business. Nearly every gown will require alterations and will typically require 2-3 fittings. If you are located outside of the New York area, we can also ship you your gown so you are able to take care of your fittings locally.
Can i order a dress online?
Yes, it is possible to order a dress online. If there is a dress you are interested in purchasing virtually, please contact us by email.
How much in advance should i order my wedding dress?
We recommend starting the search for your wedding gown about 10-12 months prior to your set wedding date. Because our dresses are made to order, it typically takes about 4-7 months for the dresses to be made. 10-12 months leaves time for the dresses to be produced, as well as leaving time for any alterations that need to be made to the gown once it arrives.
Do you have plus size samples?
The majority of the gowns in our store are available to be tried on in a size 42, which is equivalent to a US size 8-10. We also carry sizes ranging from 38-50, however our average sample size is 42. We use clips to help the bride envision what the correct size will look like and can order our gowns in any size necessary.
How many people can i bring with me to my appointment?
For the appointment the bride can be accompanied by 4 guests. If necessary, you are more than welcome to FaceTime or Zoom with any additional friends/family who were not able to make the appointment in person.
How can i pay?
You can pay for your dress using credit card, cash, or Apple pay.
